As a videographer, I always find myself gaining experience in wildly different environments. I’ve had the opportunity to slide into several unique roles that have allowed me to learn new skills, create new networks, and gain a deeper understanding of the subjects of projects worked on.

The titles I’ve held:

Co-Owner/Chief Operating Officer/Lead Editor - Dissolve Media L.L.C.(Sept 2020 - October 2021) - In this role, I co-owned a video production business with three other creatives. We formed in the midst of the pandemic in Nebraska and sought to combine our talents and skills to establish a company in Las Vegas, Nevada we could be proud of. In this company, we produced award winning short films and music videos, ran live shows, and worked with several unique brands to create unique advertisements. Sadly, we decided to disband to pursue differing goals, but the experience has been positive and allowed us to each personally develop our newfound skills.

Content Creator/Social Media Coordinator- City of Lincoln - Transportation & Utilities(Oct 2020 - May 2021) - I wanted to pursue an interest in local government and jumped at the opportunity to work in this environment and utilize my skills. During my time here, I worked and developed relationships with several city departments, and received a greater understanding of multiple municipal functions, from traffic management to recycling programs. I was able to learn through creating documentaries, promotional/instructional videos, as well as producing other media such as press releases and graphics. I additionally learned how to optimize the social media networks of the department.

Videographer/Office Worker - Nebraska Food for Health Center (October 2019 – June 2021) - in this role, I was tasked with producing multiple interviews with several scientists and researchers who worked for the center. As a producer of all the videos, my duties included scheduling, traveling, cinematography, filming B-Roll, designing motion graphics and coaching the guests relax and freely talk about their work. I was also responsible for designing instructional material for video production for other hires to follow.

Videographer – Disability Rights Nebraska (Oct 2017 – August 2021) - In this role, I had the unique opportunity to develop my storytelling abilities within the content I created for this organization. I’ve produced documentaries, informational videos, and interviews with the goal of allowing for the outreach and education of disability related issues.

Videographer/Photographer (UNL Student Work)- I had the opportunity to work several part time positions and internships within the University of Nebraska system. A lot of these roles were some of the first I’ve ever had in my professional career.

Many of my roles gave me a diversity of experiences tied with my work. I’ve developed training videos and walkthroughs, attended interesting cultural events through the university, conducted interviews, and designed graphics. I’ve traveled across the state of Nebraska to collect documentary footage, helped developed an award winning web series (Facts with Francis), and created promotional content for the Engineering College.
